After my first News item another 77 rejections came in. I am working my way through those for whom the cause is described as Blocked and sending out individual emails to those involved. For nearly all the rest the
– Address is rejected as not found
– Mailbox not found or unavailable
– Recipient address rejected as invalid
– User/recipient/account does not exist or is unknown
I need to consult technically on other causes such as Connection deferred/timed out/refused and others
This really is an administrative nightmare and using up so much of my time unrewardingly
Prior to lockdown the rejection level was quite manageable so quite what has happened I do not know – so many people seem to have changed their email address and not amended their profile or told me!
