Walk of life:
Billix O'Donoghue was born and raised on Urban Terrace, Boherbee, Tralee. He was a slipper for over 30 years. At the age of 22 he followed in his late fathers footsteps and began as a slipper at greyhound coursing. 1944 was the year Bill slipped his first Kingdom cup. One of the most successful and remembered slippers in Kerry, various newspaper clippings are available in Kerry's Eye Sports Almanac 1989. He was my great uncle.
